South of Pearl makes it's home in the historical "Boatwright House". Built in 1900, this beautiful home was acquired by J Todd Hardee, Funeral director and County Coroner, in 2015. After a complete remodeling to original standards, Hardee opened a neighborhood restaurant and community venue. He, along with a great staff, provide lunch service Monday through Friday.

Great Food and Great Music!
Went with friends for a fun night out. Todd & his staff were top notch & the food was amazing. We tasted a little bit of everything; BBQ, ribs, ribeye, twice baked potatoes (OMG), pimento cheese, collard greens egg rolls (I don't like collard greens but they were yummy). To top it off, homemade pound cake with fresh strawberries & ice cream. Did I mention the best Pinot Grigio I've ever had? And I'm picky about my wine. Thank you Todd for a superb night; especially the limo ride!
We were so impressed with our dinner last Thursday evening! Todd has done a wonderful job renovating a beautiful historic home. The atmosphere is up scale but laid back and the service was fabulous! Wine was good and the food was superb. It is a wonderful way to spend a Thursday evening....wish SOP was open more often!! We will be back! Thanks Todd for bringing a classy restaurant to Darlington!
Just go! It's impressive. The "house" is beautifully quaint. We were greeted warmly at the door, like old friends. Food and drinks were flawless; we both ordered the ribeye and were not disappointed. Can't wait to return
My friend Jeff gates was in the house. A Darlington native and a great old rocker! This is how we roll!
